NEET Chemistry carries 45 questions for 180 marks, drawn almost entirely from the NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks and split across physical, organic and inorganic chemistry. The section rewards two different habits at once: fast, error-free numerical work in physical chemistry, and precise factual recall in inorganic. This topic gives one-on-one voice practice in reasoning through NEET-style single-correct questions out loud — deciding the major product, setting up a mole-ratio calculation, or justifying why a given assertion-reason pair is or isn't correctly explained. Where learners get stuck

Treating a catalyst or an inert gas added at constant volume as something that shifts equilibrium position
Students memorise Le Chatelier as 'anything you change causes a shift' rather than checking whether the reaction quotient Q actually changes. A catalyst speeds both directions equally, and inert gas at constant volume leaves partial pressures untouched — but the phrasing of the question sounds like a disturbance.
Choosing the product from the first carbocation formed, without checking for hydride or methyl shift
Mechanism practice usually starts with substrates that don't rearrange, so the habit of stopping at the initial cation forms early. NEET regularly uses neopentyl-type or secondary-adjacent-to-tertiary substrates where the rearranged product is the major one, and the unrearranged answer is deliberately offered as a distractor.

Both cells use the words anode and cathode, but the sign of the electrode reverses between them while the definition (oxidation at anode) does not. Combined with the negative sign in the ΔG relation and log-term arithmetic in the Nernst equation, a single convention slip flips the whole answer to a plausible-looking wrong option.

What a session looks like

Sessions run as spoken conversation. You pick a chapter or a mixed set, and Evelyn poses NEET-format questions one at a time, asking you to talk through the reasoning before giving the option. For numericals you're asked for the setup — which formula, which units, what's the limiting quantity — before the arithmetic, since that's where most marks are lost. For organic questions you describe the intermediate and why it's favoured, not just the product letter. Wrong answers are traced back to the specific step that broke, and the same idea is re-asked in a different disguise later in the session. Timing pressure can be added so you practise deciding quickly whether a question is worth attempting given negative marking.

Is NCERT enough for NEET Chemistry?
For inorganic and most of organic, NCERT lines — including the tables, exceptions and in-text examples — account for the large majority of what is asked, so those chapters need line-by-line reading. Physical chemistry usually needs extra numerical practice beyond the in-text problems, because NEET applies the same formulae to unfamiliar setups.
Which part of chemistry should I do first if I'm starting late?
Inorganic gives the fastest return per hour because it is recall-driven and heavily NCERT-bound, particularly p-block, coordination compounds and periodic properties. General organic chemistry comes next since it underpins every reaction-mechanism question, and physical chemistry chapters can then be picked by how many questions they historically carry.
How do I stop forgetting inorganic chemistry facts before the exam?
Recall works better than rereading — being asked 'why is nitrogen unable to form pentahalides' and answering aloud exposes gaps that highlighting does not. Sessions can be set up as spaced recall drills on one chapter at a time, revisiting the same facts days later in a different question format.
